About Erica Spindler

A New York Times and International chart bestselling author, Erica Spindler's skill for crafting engrossing plots and compelling characters has earned both critical praise and legions of fans. Published across the globe, her stories have been lauded as “thrill-packed page turners, white- knuckle rides” and “edge-of-your-seat whodunits.”

Raised in Rockford, Illinois, Erica planned on being a visual artist, earning a BFA from Delta State University and an MFA from the University of New Orleans. She made the leap to novelist via a summer cold and a free romance novel dropped into her shopping bag. A reading frenzy  ensued, one that became a writing frenzy. Forty novels later, she’s still thankful for the summer cold that changed her life.

For her third act, Erica has turned her creative energy to adapting her novels for TV and film. First up is RED, a story beloved by her fans, which she adapted with a huge fan of the book, UK actress Liz Appleby. The script is complete and the pilot is circulating now. Next up for adaptation is SHOCKING PINK.

Erica lives outside atmospheric New Orleans, a city that has influenced many of her novels, with her adman husband and the constant companionship of Molly, the dynamic doodle.
